Avon: Jewelry: Eternal Spark Ring

Hello, my Pretties!
Lately I have been buying more jewelry than makeup, crazy I know!  I have a ton of makeup but my jewelry collection is so small.  And, since I started working, I wanted to wear accessories to go with my outfits!  So of course Avon was the perfect place for me to start building my jewelry collection.
I will show you the other pieces I have bought but this one is the latest.
This is the Eternal Spark Ring.  It is a two ring set made up of rhinestones in silvertone.  The materials may be "cheap"  but it sure does look perfect!
I have been with my sweet-tart for 10 years now but we are not married.  I like to pretend I am with this little beauty haha.  Shame on me!
This ring is only available in sizes 6, 8, and 10 and costs $12.99.
Purchase yours at my online Avon eStore and don't forget to visit my Avon Facebook Page.

Disclaimer:
I am an Independant Sales Representative
for Avon.  I paid for this ring with my own money.  These are my own opinions.

Avon: True Color Eyeshadow Quad: Go Natural

Hello, my Pretties!
Alas, Avon has decided to jump on the nude bandwagon!  Hee hee.  We all know that thanks to Urban Decay and their majorly successful Naked palettes, neutral shadows are all the rage these days.
I must admit, even I, a colorful-kind-of-makeup-girl, have been converted.
That's why when I saw that Avon was launching four new nude quads, I just had to grab one up.  Avon's True Color Eyeshadow Quads has a new collection called The Perfect Nudes Collection.  Avon's claim is, "from fair to deep, there's a perfect nude just for you!"
There are six quads in The Perfect Nudes Collection.  Two are existing shades, four are new.  In this collection you will have:
Stone Taupes for fair skin.
★Naked Truth for light skin.
★Barely There for light/medium skin.
Chocolate Sensation for medium skin.
★Go Natural for medium/deep skin.
★Grin & Bare It for deep skin.
(★ New shades.)
I picked out Go Natural.
The texture is silky smooth on all shadows for the exception of the #3 shade.  That one felt a little more on the gritty side.
The eyeshadow pans are embossed with numbers 1-4 to show you where in your eye to apply them.  The map is on the bottom of the palette.  But of course, you can apply them any way you please.
In the photo I included, I swatched each of the shadows on the inside of my wrist over bare skin.  No base.  No primer.  No foundation.  Right off the bat, I think the pigmentation is A+!
In my opinion, the shadows applied easily and smoothly and they blended well.  I did not have any fading throughout the day but I did apply the Avon Eyeshadow Primer on my eyelids before applying the shadows.
These eyeshadow quads sell for $7.00 but you can get them on sale often for only $5.99.  Visit my online Avon eStore at www.youravon.com/lmartinez2920.  And check out my Avon Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/TXAvonLadyLisa.

30 Days of Beauty: Day 7

Hello, my Pretties!

Another day, another 30 day challenge entry.

Day 7: Skin Care

OK, I'm going to admit.  I don't take care of my skin as well as I should.  All I really do is wash it daily and that's about it.  I know I should try harder seeing as to how I'm 32 years old now and I am starting to see the sweet signs of aging already.

As you can see, I use a lot of Avon.  I sell Avon so that's why I have so much of it.  It's easier for me to place my customers orders and throw in a few hundred things for me haha.

Before anything, I use my Avon Moisture Effective Eye Makeup Remover Lotion to remove my makeup.  I have used this eye makeup remover for years.  It works great just don't get it in your eyes!  Ouch!  I have two cleansers by Avon that I use.  I keep the small blue tube, Avon's Anew Rejuvenate Revitalizing 2-in-1 Gel Cleanser, in my shower so I wash my face with that while I'm bathing.  The bigger silver tube, Avon's Solutions Cleanse Ageless Day and Night Cleanser, I keep by my sink.  I usually shower at night so I use the Anew Rejuvenate at night and the Solutions Cleanse in the morning after I brush my teeth.

I use the Avon Solutions Banishing Cream Skin Discoloration Improver as a moisturizer after I cleanse my face.  And when I have a pimple, I use the Avon Clearskin Blemish Clearing Spot Treatment.

The only thing that I use that isn't Avon, at the moment, is my eye cream.  I am using Olay Age Defying Eye Cream but it's almost gone.  (I do have an Avon eye cream waiting in the wings, of course, haha.)  I am terrible at applying eye cream.  I always forget!  And it's the one thing that I need the most.  My eyelids are all wrinkly!  My science teacher in high school, freshman year, would always tell us girls not to wear makeup because we were going to wrinkle before out time.  I'm starting to think she was right!

30 Days of Beauty: Day 6

Hello, my Pretties!

Of course, I got backed up again!  Well...not me, personally, but my blog posts did!  Such is life.

Day 6: Brushes

Sorry for the messy set up.  Guess I should have cleaned up some but I was feeling lazy.  #SorryNotSorry???

Anyhow, here are my brushes.  Like the little tin can they're in?  Haha.  While some of y'all beauties have your pretty brushes in pretty vases with pretty glass beads, mine are in a bucket.  A tiny little red bucket!  Haha.

I don't really have an extensive brush collection by any means but what I have works for me.

Brands I own are a couple of MAC, Avon, some Kirkland Signature, and a ton of E.L.F.  I love me some E.L.F.  My favorite blending brush is by E.L.F. and cost me a dollar!

My sister gave me the Kirkland Signature brushes a couple years ago.  It was a whole set in a brush roll.  Her boss gave them to her as a Christmas exchange gift but my sister really didn't care for them so she gave them to me.  Yay for re-gifting!  I love those brushes.  Even though they are a couple years old already and I use them almost daily, they are still in great shape!

I clean my brushes with just some warm water and baby shampoo.  That's it.  I didn't clean them last week, gross beauty blogger confession here, but I will clean them this weekend.  Probably tomorrow.  #SudsUpSaturday

30 Days of Beauty: Day 5

Hello, my Pretties!

One more post and I'll be all caught up on the first five days of the 30 day challenge.

Day 5: Day Makeup Look

I wore this look today for work.  Fairly simple.  Perfect daytime makeup look.

I used some Avon and E.L.F. eyeshadows over my Urban Decay Primer Potion.  I filled in my brows with my Avon Perfect Brows Kit and applied two coats of my MAC Zoom Lash Mascara.

As for my face, I tested out my new Avon CC Cream today for the first time.  Over that I dusted on Wet n Wild Coverall Powder Foundation and I used Avon Tint n Go Cheek Tint on my cheeks.

And to help keep the look simple and casual, I just applied a light pink gloss by Avon.

That's all!

30 Days of Beauty: Day 4

Hello, my Pretties!

Day 4: Hair Style

I have no style let alone HAIR style.  Haha.  My hair is naturally curly and unruly and frizzy so I find it easiest to tame it by wrapping my hair up in a bun.  But sometimes, I actually take the time to flat iron my hair as damaging and bad as it is for my hair.

So this is how I wore my hair today.

Yeah nothing to fancy.  It's always just so much easier for me to put my hair up.  I did wear my hair like this to work.  I always wear my hair pulled back somehow for work.  It's just more comfortable so I don't have to constantly be brushing hair away from my face.  I'm practical above all else.
